If you've ever dropped something on your foot when wearing flip-flops, you are well-aware that this style of shoe offers little in the way of foot protection. Now doctors are warning people of the other potentials effects of wearing flip flops. Podiatrists report seeing increasing numbers of patients during the summer months with foot injuries that may have been caused by wearing flip flops. Heel pain and strained arches are two of the most common symptoms seen by doctors, although blisters, sores, and stubbed toes are also common.
