Shoe trends this spring are sexy, feminine, and fun. Check out some of the latest looks as well as classic styles that have remained popular. Ballet flats, wedges, and platform shoes are just a few great spring shoe trends.

1. Open-toe Flats

A great update on last year's ballet flat trend, these new open-toe versions offer the same comfort and femininity with a touch of sexiness. The look is reminiscent of 1950s couture, but bright and embellished flats are also a great way to dress up jeans.

2. Print Shoes

Printed fabric shoes are one of the hottest styles this season. Look for ultra-feminine florals, bright geometric patterns, and embroidered handicraft styles. Pair with warm-weather clothing such as Bermuda shorts, Capri's, skirts, and even jeans.

3. Wedge Shoes

A carry-over from last year, wedge shoes continue to grow in popularity. Look for shoes with wooden wedge heels in neutral colors for a style that is both chic and classic. Wedges look great paired with feminine clothing, so feel free to wear them with the latest ruffled and lacey fashions.

4. Patent Leather Shoes

Classic patent leathers shoes are one of the biggest new trends this spring and summer. Look for brightly colored shoes in a variety of styles, including the classic Mary Jane. Platforms, wedges, and high heels are other great patent leather shoes to try.

5. Strappy Heels

Strappy heels are an always classic warm-weather shoe. Take advantage of spring trends by wearing strappy shoes in a warm, metallic color. Unlike the bright metallic trends of last year, this year's update utilized warm, burnished bronzes and coppers that are softer and more complementary.

6. Platform Shoes

Platform shoes are back in a big way this spring, but the look is more modern than the classic 1970s style. Look for platforms in soft metallics, prints, or wooden heels. Be cautious about clothing choices, since chunky platforms can overpower dainty styles. Avoid shorts and Capri's in favor of jeans or full, mid-length skirts.

7. Embellished Sandals

Sandals embellished with stones and jewels are one of this spring's hottest trends. Easy to wear and always in style, these shoes are a great complement for many clothing styles. Embellished sandals are a great way to dress up Capri's and Bermuda shorts, but they also look great paired with jeans or simple summer dresses.

8. Black-and-White Shoes

One of the hottest trends this spring is a black and white color combo. Black and white is often considered boring and basic, but this year's look is crisp, fresh, and a great way to liven up your look. But don't feel constrained to a neutral-colored wardrobe. Mix your black-and-white shoes and accessories with bright colors clothing and other spring fashion trends.

9. Boots

The trick to looking high-fashion and not like you just finished a shift at the local farm is to pair boots with clothing that is crisp, tailored, and feminine. Look for boot in rich, natural colors and pair with spring trends such as puffed sleeves, ruffled collars, and lacey fabrics.
