Knowing your shoe size can make shopping easier, especially if you are shopping for shoes online. Learn how to find your shoe size.
Are you unsure of your shoe size? Most people just use the trial-and-error method to determine which size fits best, but actually measuring your foot gives a much more accurate result. Knowing your correct shoe size is especially important if you are ordering shoes online. Use the following method to measure your foot and use the size chart below to find your corresponding shoe size.
- 1. Measure the length of your foot. For the most accurate measurement, place your bare foot on a piece of paper and place marks at your heel and toe, then measure the distance between the two marks.
- 2. Measure the width of you foot. Using the same method as above, place marks on the paper at both sides of the widest part of your foot. The distance between these two points will indicate which shoe width you will need.
- 3. Consult a size chart to determine which shoe size is best for you. Remember, however, that all manufacturers vary to some degree, but knowing the length, width, and circumference of your foot can be very helpful when ordering online. Check retailer websites for size charts that can help you choose the best size for you.
